CHILDRENS MUSICAL
Beauty And The Beast
DIRECTED BY SHAWN CANNON. Based on the classic French fairy tale, it tells the story of Belle, an intelligent young woman scorned by her townspeople for being a bookworm, weary of fighting off the advances of the arrogant Gaston, and dreaming of escape. When her father gets lost in the woods and captured by the forbidding Beast, a once-handsome prince turned into a monster by a witch, Belle goes off to rescue him. Taken with her, the Beast agrees to release Belle's father if she agrees to stay with him forever. Initially repulsed, Belle soon finds much to appreciate in the Beast's hidden, tender nature. The Beast's servants -- a clock, a teapot, and a candlestick -- see Belle as their salvation: if the Beast and a woman fall in love before his 21st birthday, he will be free from the curse.

MUSICAL
She Loves Me
DIRECTED BY SHAWN CANNON. When Amalia Balash starts working alongside Georg Nowack at Mr. Maraczek's Parfumerie, the two argue endlessly, while unknowingly writing loving words to each other as a part of an anonymous "dear friend" romantic pen pal service. When Georg finds out who his "dear friend" has been, he looks at their relationship and realizes all that animosity he thought he felt may have been nothing less than love in disguise.

CLASSIC COMEDY
Blithe Spirit
DIRECTED BY JANET TYNDALL.
Charles Condomine, a successful novelist, wishes to learn about the occult for a novel he is writing, and he arranges for an eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to hold a séance at his house. At the séance, she inadvertently summons Charles's first wife, Elvira, who has been dead for seven years. Only Charles can see or hear Elvira, and his second wife, Ruth, does not believe that Elvira exists until a floating vase is handed to her out of thin air. The ghostly Elvira makes continued, and increasingly desperate, efforts to disrupt Charles's current marriage. She finally sabotages his car in the hope of killing him so that he will join her in the spirit world, but it is Ruth rather than Charles who drives off and is killed.
This macabre comedy reflects on the thin line between the dead and the living as Charles ends up entertaining two ghosts which puts his house in an uproar!
May 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, 31, June 1, 2 at 7:30 p.m. and May 26 at 1:00 p.m.
